Pre-registered products
The new European directive 2006/1907/EC for Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals – better known as REACH - was put into force in 2007. The pre-registration phase started on June 1st, 2008 and will end December 1st, 2008. There is good news for CO2-extracts. According to REACH regulation CO2-extracts are SONs (Substances Occurring in Nature). Therefore CO2-extracts, which have no R/S statements have not to be registered under REACH.
The following list contains all so far pre-registered CO2-extracts with their corresponding pre-registration numbers (Status: November 26, 2008).

Even if there is no obligation to register CO2-extrated fatty oils we have pre-registered some prophylactically. For all other CO2-extracts in our program there is either no obligation for REACH registration or the selling quantities are at the moment far below 1 ton per year.
Should the quantity for one or the other product with R/S statements draw near 1 ton then of course we will also pre-register these products. If you have any further questions regarding REACH and CO2-extracts, please do not hesitate to contact us (pm(at)flavex.com).
Of course we will do everything in future, so that the sale of CO2-extracts is ensured. Therefore we will pre-register and register all REACH obligatory CO2-extracts.
