Production:
By supercritical fluid extraction with natural carbon dioxide no solvent residues, no inorganic salts, no heavy metals, no reproducible microorganisms [1].

Application:
Macis is widely used in Ayurvedic medicine, among other things for mild fever, digestive or intestinal problems. In Indonesian folk medicine, mace is used to treat stomach ailments, pain and rheumatism. However, its effectiveness in the above-mentioned areas of application has not been proven [2].*

As spice extract for flavouring all kinds of food, preferably for seasoning soups, sauces or pastries.*

Due to its characteristic scent profile, mace extract is suitable as a fragrance in cosmetic products and perfumes.*
