In folk medicine, hops are also used externally for the treatment of skin injuries and internally for cystitis [2].*\r\n\r\nHops extracts are mainly used in the beer industry for flavouring and preservation. Due to its characteristic flavour the extract can also be used in beverages, confectionery, bakery products or dairy products.*\r\n\r\nDue to its physiological effect and traditional use, hop extract is also suitable for use in food supplements [3].*\r\n\r\nThe extract can be used in perfumes with aromatic, herbal notes. Hops also gives dark hair a beautiful shine and is therefore also well suited for use in hair care products [4].
