By supercritical fluid extraction with natural carbon dioxide and addition of a small amount of alcohol (ethanol) as entrainer, no inorganic salts, no heavy metals, no reproducible microorganisms [1].The extract is standardised with Olive oil to specific extinction values of at least 20 cm²/mg in the complete UV-B range.

Utilisation:
Skin caring ingredient with anti-oxidative, anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory efficacy, with a specific extinction E’ of at least 20 cm²/mg in the whole erythreme active band of radiation between 280-320 nm, absorption as well in the UV-A2 range of 320-340 nm, transparent for the pigmenting less energetic part of the light above 350 nm, ideal for daily personal care cosmetics and sun care products as prophylaxis against skin aging, supports the endogenous repair system of the skin, reduces anti-oxidative stress and the formation of lipid peroxides, also for tooth paste and oral care products as well as for hair care products. The extract is also internally used as remedy against stomachache, diarrhea, menstrual problems and oropharyngeal inflammation.*
