Matières Premières:
Angelica archangelica – Root, dried from organic farming

Fabrication:
By supercritical fluid extraction with natural carbon dioxide, no solvent residues, no inorganic salts, no heavy metals, no reproducible microorganisms [1].

Ingrédients:
The extract contains 20 – 35 ml/100g steam volatile components. It is composed of terpene hydrocarbons, mainly alpha pinene, alpha and beta phellandrene, low volatile macrolides, e.g. 13-tridecanolide, 15-pentadeanolide, etc. and a larger quantity of osthol and small amounts of other coumarin derivatives.

Utilisation:
Angelica root (Angelica Archangelica) is used in traditional herbal medicines for loss of appetite and gastrointestinal complaints such as flatulence and mild spasms due to its antispasmodic and stimulating effect on gastric juice secretion [2].*

Angelica root extract can be used to flavour foods, especially liqueurs, or in the confectionery industry [3].*

 

Angelica root extract is mainly used as a fragrance in perfumes and for flavouring toothpaste or mouthwash [4].*
