Matières Premières:
Zingiber officinale Roscoe – Rhizome, dried

Fabrication:
By supercritical fluid extraction with natural carbon dioxide, no solvent residues, no inorganic salts, no heavy metals, no reproducible microorganisms [1].

Ingrédients:
The extract contains 82 – 95 % essential oil, 30 – 45 % alpha- zingiberene, ar-curcumene, citral (neral, geranial), alpha-farnesene, beta-bisabolene, beta-sesquiphellandrene, further sum of pungent substances: 2 – 5 % including less than 1 % shogaols.

Utilisation:
In folk medicine, the extract is used for coughs and sore throats [2]. Ginger has antioxidative and antimicrobial effects. In addition, studies have shown a positive effect against cardiovascular diseases [3].*

The ginger extract gives food and drink an interesting, fresh, spicy and hot taste, so that the extract is often used in sweets, drinks, alcoholic beverages and also in rice, meat and other tasty dishes. Ginger products are popular in Asian and also European cuisine.*

 

Because of its characteristic and stimulatory odour, the extract can be used in perfume, deodorants, shower gel, shampoo or bath additives.*
