Matières Premières:
Levisticum officinale – Root, dried

Fabrication:
By supercritical fluid extraction with natural carbon dioxide, no solvent residues, no inorganic salts, no heavy metals, no reproducible microorganisms [1].

Ingrédients: The extract contains 40 – 50 % essential oil containing 45 – 75 % cis Ligustilide as main component, further trans Ligustilide, Butyl Phthalide, Butylidene Phthalide, Falcarinol, Falcarindiol and traces of Angelicin and Bergapten.

 

Utilisation:

In traditional herbal medicine, the roots of lovage are used for flushing therapy in inflammatory urinary tract diseases [2]. In folk medicine, lovage root is used for digestive complaints, menstrual complaints or respiratory diseases [3].

For seasoning soups, sauces, rice and meat dishes. The usual dosage range is below 0.02%.
