Produced by supercritical CO2 extraction under use of natural carbon dioxide, no solvent residues, no inorganic salts, no heavy metals, no reproducible microorganisms [1].

The CO2-extract contains 45 – 65 % steam volatile components with 5 – 15 % acorenone, acorone, isoacorone, cryptoacorone and beta asarone (< 7 % quantitative in extract).

In folk medicine, calamus root is used to treat loss of appetite and digestive problems [3].*

For the flavouring of alcoholic beverages, such as liqueurs*


Due to its characteristic scent, the extract can be used as a fragrance in various cosmetic products and perfumes.*
