Raw Material:
Humulus lupulus – Flores = Hop cones, dried

Production:
By supercritical CO2 extraction with natural carbon dioxide, no solvent residues, no inorganic salts, no heavy metals, no reproducible microorganisms [1]. In a second step the extract is flavour reduced by counter current column extraction with natural carbon dioxide. The extract is standardised with sunflower oil (organic) to a content of 49 – 51 % sum of humulones and lupulones.

Ingredients:
see specification

Application:
Hops extracts are used in herbal medicines to treat symptoms such as restlessness, anxiety and sleep disorders. In folk medicine, hops are also used externally for the treatment of skin injuries and internally for cystitis [2].*

Due to its physiological effect and traditional use, hop extract is also suitable for use in food supplements [3].*

The extract can be used in perfumes with aromatic, herbal notes. Hops also gives dark hair a beautiful shine and is therefore also well suited for use in hair care products [4]. Due to its good effectiveness against gram-positive bacteria, hop extract is also a good additive for deodorizing soaps, shower gels, deodorant sticks and aerosol sprays, as gram-positive bacteria are responsible for unpleasant body odours [5].*
