By supercritical fluid extraction with natural carbon dioxide and a small amount of ethanol as entrainer, no inorganic salts, no heavy metals, no reproducible microorganisms [1]. The extract is standardised with MCT oil to a content of NLT 8,5 % isoflavanes.

The substances licoricidin and licorisoflavan A contained in the liquorice root CO2 extract have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects and inhibit the growth of oral pathogens. The extract is therefore suitable for use in toothpaste, mouthwashes and other dental care products [2].*
