Application:
In folk medicine, low-capsaicin paprika is used internally for digestive disorders, stomach and intestinal complaints and as a dehydrating agent to support heart and circulation [2].*
Due to its pungent flavour components, the extract is suitable for seasoning foods, such as sausages, sauces, snacks, seasoning mixtures and other spicy food products. Note: The extract must not be used primarily for colouring foodstuffs, as it does not meet the requirement criteria as a colouring foodstuff or as a colouring agent according to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008.*
The paprika extract can be used as a natural colorant in cosmetics, especially in natural cosmetics.*
