Application:
Cinnamon extracts have antibacterial and antifungal properties. In folk medicine, Burmanni cinnamon is used to treat nausea, flatulence, cough, chest problems, diarrhoea and flu [2].*
The cinnamon extract can be used as a flavouring extract in chewing gum, confectionery, beverages and other foods, especially as a spice extract in baked goods.*
Due to its aromatic flavour, cinnamon extract is suitable as a fragrance in the perfume industry and other cosmetic products. Because of its antibacterial properties, cinnamon extract inhibits the formation of plaque and can prevent inflammation of the dental gums. Therefore, the extract is useful in toothpaste or mouthwash [2].*
