Application:
The leaf buds of black poplar are used in traditional medicine mainly as anti-inflammatory, anti-pyretic and expectorant as well as wound-healing agent. The use is due to its antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity [2].*
Poplar buds are used to flavour herbal and bitter liqueurs. Therefore the extract is suitable for use in the alcoholic beverage industry.*
The poplar bud extract has antibacterial properties. It also has a soothing effect on the skin [2] [3]. Therefore, the extract is well suited for use in skin care products, especially in products against oily skin and for skin cleansing.*
