By supercritical fluid extraction with natural carbon dioxide, no solvent residues, no inorganic salts, no heavy metals, no reproducible microorganisms . The extract is stabilized with FLAVEX Rosemary Antioxidant (organic).
Chia oil can be used to refine salads or other dishes. However, a daily intake of 2 g should not be exceeded. Chia oil can also be used in mixtures with other fats and oils. Here, however, the proportion of chia oil is limited to a maximum of 10%.*
Chia oil is rich of essential fatty acids mainly linoleic acid and alpha linolenic acid. A daily intake of linoleic acid and alpha linolenic acid reduces the LDL-cholesterol concentrations and helps to maintain a healthy blood cholesterol level [2,3]. Therefore, the use of Chia oil is suitable in food supplements for healthy blood cholesterol level. Furthermore, the extract is useful in food supplements for children, as essential fatty acids like linoleic acid and alpha linolenic acid are important for proper growth and development of children . Chia oil is an approved novel food, whose daily consumption of 2 g must not be exceeded.*
Chia oil is used in skin care products to improve skin elasticity and moisture .*
